Safety evaluation method of human-machine interaction in automobile intelligent cockpit
1 Scope
This standard specifies the evaluation method of the impact of distraction caused by the interaction between the driver and the touch screen of the automobile intelligent cockpit on the driving safety. This standard is applicable to the evaluation of driving interaction safety in driving secondary tasks during manual driving.
It is applicable to various forms of central console screens associated through visual/touch interaction.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
driving interaction safety
risk for driving safety caused by human-machine interaction behavior
3.2
driving secondary task
touch control interaction tasks unrelated or not directly related to driving in the driving process, compared with the main driving tasks such as controlling vehicles and monitoring road conditions
3.3
visual distraction
process in which the driver's ability to perceive the environment decreases when the sight is off the road due to visual secondary task
3.4
operational distractions
process in which the driver's ability to perceive the environment decreases due to the resource occupation of hands and feet caused by the operation secondary task
3.5
cognitive distraction
process in which the driver's ability to perceive the environment decreases when his/her awareness is off the road surface caused by the cognition secondary task
4 Safety test items and methods of human-machine interaction in automobile intelligent cockpit
4.1 Test items
The test items of driving interaction safety in automobile intelligent cockpit mainly include the following:
a) degree of visual distraction: calculate the time of sight shift from road when completing typical secondary task;
b) degree of operational distraction: calculate the operation frequency when completing typical secondary task;
c) degree of cognitive distraction: calculate the pupil diameter change and SWAT scale score when completing typical secondary task.
4.2 Test method
See Annex A.
4.3 Test conditions
The test shall meet the following requirements:
(1) the test may be conducted on the real vehicle or the simulated bridge frame;
(2) the real vehicle test must be conducted on a closed road surface;
4.4 Test data requirement
The quality of data set used for the driving interaction safety evaluation of automobile intelligent cockpit shall meet the following requirements:
(3) the sampling frequency shall not be less than 1Hz;
(4) when the data is recorded continuously, the data exception (miss or error) ratio shall not exceed 5% of the total data;
