Guidelines for vibration condition monitoring and diagnose of wind turbine generator
1 Scope
This standard specifies the type of wind turbine vibration monitoring system, installation principle of sensors, measurement type and value, technical conditions of vibration monitoring system, evaluation of vibration value, and signal processing and analysis methods.
This standard is applicable to horizontal axis wind turbine generator with unit capacity greater than or equal to 1.5MW. Other wind turbines may refer to it according to their own characteristics.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purpose of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
breakdown maintenance
maintenance after wind turbine fails
3.2
condition-based maintenance
maintenance determined according to wind turbine condition.
3.3
condition monitoring
detection and acquisition of information and data reflecting the wind turbine condition
3.4
diagnostics
examination of symptoms and syndrome in order to determine the nature (type, condition, degree) of the fault or failure
3.5
failure
loss of ability to perform a specified function
3.6
fault
the condition of a component or assembly of a wind turbine when it is deteriorated or abnormal, which may lead to failure of the wind turbine
3.7
alarm
operation signal or information designed for notification purpose when the selected parameter or its logical combination is abnormal and corrective action is required
3.8
alert
operation signal or warning message designed for notification purpose when the selected parameter or its logical combination is abnormal and more attention is required
