“Provisions on Supervision and Management of Imported Civil Nuclear Safety Equipment” (HAF604)
The "Provisions on Supervision and Management of Imported Civil Nuclear Safety Equipment" (HAF604) has been approved at the Fourth Internal Session of the State Environmental Protection Administration of the People's Republic of China on December 25, 2007 and is hereby published, and should be put into force from January 1, 2008.

Chapter I General Provisions
Article 1 The Provisions was formulated according to the "Regulation on the Supervision and Management of Civil Nuclear Safety Equipment" with a view to strengthening the supervision and management of imported civil nuclear safety equipment.
Article 2 The Provisions is applicable to the registration management of foreign entities carrying out design, manufacturing, installation and non-destructive testing activities of civil nuclear safety equipment for civil nuclear facilities within the territory of People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the "foreign entities") as well as the safety inspection of imported civil nuclear safety equipment.
Article 3 The nuclear safety supervision and management department of the State Council will be responsible for managing the registration of foreign entities and carrying out supervision and inspection on the design, manufacturing, installation and non-destructive testing activities of civil nuclear safety equipment in which the foreign entities are engaged.
The nuclear safety supervision and management department of the State Council and its subordinate inspection bodies will carry out safety inspection on the imported civil nuclear safety equipment according to law.
Article 4 The operating entities of civil nuclear facilities should explicitly stipulate the following main contents in the foreign trade contract of civil nuclear safety equipment:
(1) The foreign entities should cooperate in the supervision and inspection by the nuclear safety supervision and management department of the State Council;
(2) The requirements for manufacturing supervision, pre-shipment inspection, storage inspection, acceptance, etc. of imported civil nuclear safety equipment;
