3 Requirements
3.1 Materials
3.1.1 Ingots used for manufacturing bars and forging stocks shall be smelted in vacuum consumable arc furnaces, with no less than two smelting times. Among them, the smelting times for TA15, TA19, TA32, TA33, TC4ELI, TC11, TC17, TC18, TC19, TC21, TC25 and TB6 shall be three. The pressure during the stable stage of the last melting shall not be less than 5Pa (excluding melting with inert gas filled).
3.1.2 Consumable electrodes shall not be welded through tungsten inert gas welding.
3.2 Grade, state and specification of products
The grades, states, and specifications of bars and forging stocks shall meet those specified in Table 1 and Table 2 respectively. Among them, TA15 and TC4ELI bars shall be classified into Class A and Class B based on their uses. If not specified in the contract, Class A shall be supplied. When requested by the purchaser and specified in the contract, Class B may be supplied.
3.3 Chemical composition
3.3.1 The chemical composition of bars and forging stocks shall meet those specified in Table 3, and other requirements shall be as specified in GB/T 3620.1.
3.3.2 When the purchaser samples from the bars and forging stocks for re-inspection of chemical composition, the tolerance of chemical composition shall meet those specified in GB/T 3620.2.
