5 General requirements
5.1 The main control system of tower-type solar thermal power plants shall have functions such as data acquisition and processing, analog quantity control, discrete quantity control, alarm and protection, meeting the requirements for unit start-up, shutdown, stable operation and abnormal condition handling.
5.2 The main control system should preferably adopt a distributed control system (DCS).
5.3 The control, power supply and communication of the main control system shall be redundant, and shall have expandable functions.
5.4 The failure of any single equipment or component of the main control system shall not cause the failure of the entire system.
5.5 The main control system shall be capable of information interaction with other control systems.
5.6 The main control system shall comply with the requirements of information security protection.
6 System architecture
6.1 The main control system shall consist of HMI, communication network, controllers and I/O modules, etc. The HMI should preferably include operator stations, engineer stations, history stations, interface stations and peripheral equipment, etc. The configuration of the main control system is shown in Figure 1.
6.2 When the heliostat field control system and steam turbine control system are not integrated into the main control system, the main control system shall perform information interaction with the heliostat field control system and steam turbine control system.
