Textiles used in emergency industry 1 Scope This document defines the terms and definitions of textiles used in emergency industry, and specifies the classification method and product classification. This document is applicable to the classification of textiles used in emergency industry. 2 Normative references No normative reference is listed in this document. 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply. 3.1 textiles used in emergency industry textiles that are used in the emergency industry and have functions or effects such as prevention, protection, emergency disposal, rescue, post-event recovery and reconstruction Note: Emergency industry generally refers to activities such as providing special products and services for preventing and handling emergencies. 3.2 emergency rescue textiles for natural disasters textiles used in emergency industry that are used for flood, drought, low temperature, high temperature, air quality, geological earthquake, fire, ice and snow, biological and other natural disasters 3.3 emergency rescue textiles for accident disasters textiles used in emergency industry that are used for mine accidents, hazardous chemical leakage accidents, construction accidents, ordinary fire accidents, hazardous goods fire accidents, land traffic accidents, water traffic accidents, aviation accidents, special equipment accidents, infrastructure and public facilities accidents, environmental pollution incidents, oil spill incidents in water, stampede incidents, nuclear and radiation accidents, industrial production accidents, power operation and maintenance, high-altitude operations, etc. 3.4 emergency rescue textiles for public health events textiles used in emergency industry that are used for infectious diseases, food and drug safety, mass poisoning/infection, animal epidemic and other events 3.5 emergency rescue textiles for social security events textiles used in emergency industry that are used for mass incidents, public security incidents, criminal incidents, terrorist attacks and other events 4 Classification method With reference to GB/T 35561-2017, the textiles used in emergency industry are classified into two levels, i.e., categories and sub-categories. Based on the types of emergencies and the terminal application products, the textiles used in emergency industry are classified into five categories: emergency rescue textiles for natural disasters, emergency rescue textiles for accident disasters, emergency rescue textiles for public health events, emergency rescue textiles for social security events, and emergency rescue textiles for other emergencies. Annex A gives the classification and examples of textiles used in emergency industry.
