Technical specifications of recycled plastics for household electrical appliances
1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements for the use and labeling of recycled plastics in household appliances (hereinafter referred to as "household appliances"), describes the test methods corresponding to the specific requirements, provides the calculation method for the addition ratio of recycled plastics and the guidance on quality control, and defines related terms and definitions.
This document is applicable to polypropylene (PP), acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) and high impact polystyrene (HIPS) recycled plastics, for household electrical appliances, obtained by physical recycling.
This document is not applicable to recycled plastics obtained by chemical recycling.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following of terms and definitions apply.
3.1
recycled plastic
plastics processed from waste plastics and used for their original purposes or other uses, but not for energy recovery. Recycled plastics include post-industrial recycled plastics and post-consumer recycled plastics.
Note 1: In a broad sense, recycling of plastics includes any reuse of scraps or discarded products.
Note 2: Recycled plastics may be mixed with or without virgin resins, fillers, plasticizers, stabilizers, and pigments.

3.2
post-industrial recycled (PIR) plastic
recycled plastics from waste plastics produced in industrial manufacturing processes. They excludes plastics produced in industrial manufacturing processes that are reworked, crushed or produced in production processes but can be reused in the same production process
