1 Scope
This standard specifies the testing principle, standard test workpiece, testing device and testing method for abrasion ratio of polycrystalline diamond.
This standard is applicable to the testing of abrasion ratio of polycrystalline diamond and polycrystalline diamond compact.

3 Testing principle
Under the specified conditions, the polycrystalline diamond and the specific workpiece are rubbed against each other on prescribed device, and the ratio of the volume abrasion loss Vs (or mass abrasion loss Ms) of specific workpiece to the volume abrasion loss Vj (or the mass abrasion loss Mj) of polycrystalline diamond is the abrasion ratio E of the polycrystalline diamond, i.e., Formula (1) or Formula (2):
