GB/T 18973-2022 Quality requirements and evaluation of tourism toilets
1 Scope
This document specifies the overall requirements, distribution and quantity, general requirements, categories, and evaluation for the quality of tourism toilets.
This document is applicable to public toilets primarily serving tourists in tourism activity areas and venues, such as tourist attractions, areas along roads of tourist attractions, tourist resorts, tourist streets, tourist distribution centers, and rural tourist spots. It may be referred to by the public toilets in public cultural venues such as public libraries, cultural centers (stations), art galleries, and museums.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
tourism toilet
fix-up or mobile public toilet primarily serving tourists in tourism activity areas and venues
Note: Fix-up toilets include independence and dependence toilets.
3.2
dependence toilet
toilet located inside a building
Note: Buildings in tourist areas generally refer to tourist centers, tourist distribution centers, tourist entertainment venues, public libraries, cultural centers, art galleries, museums, etc.
3.3
mobile toilet
toilet that can be moved as a whole or after disassembly of its parts and components
3.4
quality of tourism toilets
reflection of the construction and operational management levels, as well as degree of etiquette of tourism toilets, encompassing design and construction quality, as well as management and service quality
3.5
toilet service coverage
designated area within a tourist-accessible region that is covered by the service provided by a specific toilet
3.6
cubicle
water closet, squatting pan, and urinal positions as classified by type of toilets
3.7
water closet compartment for wheelchair users
cubicle within a public toilet equipped with a water closet and safety grab bars, designed for easy access and use by individuals with mobility impairments

3.9
clean water-free toilet
toilet that does not require clean water for flushing
Note: Clean water-free toilets generally refer to foam-flush toilets, bio-toilets, water-free packing toilets, water-free urinals, incinerating toilets, etc.
3.10
family toilet
toilet designed to assist the elderly, young children, and individuals with mobility impairments (especially those of the opposite gender)
Note: Opposite-gender assistance scenarios include a daughter assisting an elderly father, a son assisting an elderly mother, a mother assisting a young boy, a father assisting a young girl, and mutual assistance between spouses.
