1 Scope
This document defines the terms and definitions of inspector's test connections for automatic sprinkler systems, specifies the classification, model designation, requirements, inspection rules, marking, instructions for use, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for inspector's test connections, and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document is applicable to the design, production, and inspection of inspector's test connections in automatic sprinkler systems.
2 Normative references

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Inspector's test connection
A combination of a test valve, pressure display device (equipment), and test nozzle used to monitor the end pressure of an automatic sprinkler system and to verify the system's start-up, alarm, and linkage functions.
3.2 Smart inspector's test connection
An inspector's test connection equipped with a digital communication port capable of transmitting pressure parameters, valve status signals, and enabling remote electric operation and self-diagnosis of faults.
3.3 Test valve
A valve that can be manually or electrically controlled to open or close the inspector's test connection.
3.4 Test nozzle
A water discharge nozzle located at the end of the device, with the same flow coefficient as the minimum sprinkler head in the same floor or fire compartment of the automatic sprinkler system.
3.5 Rated working pressure
The maximum working pressure allowed for the inspector's test connection under operating conditions.
4 Classification and model designation
4.1 Classification
Inspector's test connections are classified according to Table 1.
4.2 Model designation
The model designation for inspector's test connections in automatic sprinkler systems is as follows:
Note: Classification codes are shown in Table 1. For standard types, the classification order is based on control method and feedback device.
Example 1: ZSPM-80/1.2-S(AB) indicates a standard type with manual control, feedback device, enterprise-defined code AB, nominal flow coefficient K=80, and rated pressure of 1.2 MPa.
Example 2: ZSPM-115/1.2-DX indicates a standard type with electric control, feedback device, no enterprise-defined code, nominal flow coefficient K=115, and rated pressure of 1.2 MPa.
Example 3: ZSPM-202/1.6-Z(AB) indicates a smart type with enterprise-defined code AB, nominal flow coefficient K=202, and rated pressure of 1.6 MPa.
5 Requirements
5.1 Appearance
5.1.1 The surface of the inspector's test connection shall be flat, free from processing defects and impact damage, with uniform and complete coating or plating and consistent color.
5.1.2 Clear and durable markings shall be provided in a conspicuous position, with content complying with 8.1.
5.1.3 The inspector's test connection shall have markings for test valve open/close status and operational or warning signs.
5.2 Rated working pressure
The rated working pressure of the inspector's test connection shall not exceed 1.6 MPa.
5.3 Materials
The flow path components of the inspector's test connection shall be made of metal materials with corrosion resistance not less than brass or austenitic stainless steel.
5.4 Structure and components
5.4.1 The inspector's test connection shall have measures to prevent accidental operation.
