3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Pyrolysis - Sensing Electrical Fire Monitoring Detector
A detector that monitors changes in pyrolysis particles in the protected area.
3.1.1
Independent Pyrolysis - Sensing Electrical Fire Monitoring Detector
A detector that independently detects changes in pyrolysis particles in the protected area and issues audible and visual alarm signals.
Note: Abbreviated as "independent detector".
3.1.2
Non - Independent Pyrolysis - Sensing Electrical Fire Monitoring Detector
A detector that detects changes in pyrolysis particles in the protected area and transmits relevant information to an electrical fire monitoring device.
Note: Abbreviated as "non - independent detector".
3.2
Combined Multi - Sensing Electrical Fire Monitoring Detector
A detector with multiple sensors that can monitor two or more physical quantities (such as residual current, temperature, fault arcs, pyrolysis particles, and insulation performance) in the protected area.
3.3
Signal Processing Unit
A unit that receives measurement data from pyrolysis particle sensors and processes the data.
4 Classification
Detectors are classified by their mode of operation as follows:
a) Independent;
b) Non - independent.
5 Requirements
5.1 General Requirements
Detectors shall meet the requirements of this chapter and be tested in accordance with Chapter 6 to confirm compliance with these requirements. Combined multi - sensing electrical fire monitoring detectors shall also meet the requirements of the corresponding parts of GB 14287 (all parts).
5.2 Appearance
The surface of the detector shall show no signs of corrosion, peeling of coatings, or bubbling, and no obvious scratches, cracks, burrs, or other mechanical damage. Tightened parts shall not be loose.
5.3 Basic Functions
5.3.1 Detectors shall indicate their normal operating state, alarm state, and fault state.
5.3.2 Detectors shall not have the function of disconnecting power distribution circuits.
5.3.3 The power supply for independent detectors shall use AC 220V/50Hz, and the power input terminal shall have a wiring terminal.
5.3.4 When the protected area meets the alarm conditions, the detector shall light up the alarm indicator. For non - independent detectors, the alarm indication shall remain until the connected electrical fire monitoring device is reset; for independent detectors, the alarm indication shall remain until manually reset.
5.3.5 For non - independent detectors with external sensors, when the connection line between the detector and the external sensor is open - circuited or short - circuited, the detector shall transmit a fault signal to the connected electrical fire monitoring device.
5.3.6 The alarm set value of the detector shall be set on the detector or the connected electrical fire monitoring device, but shall be achieved through dedicated tools, passwords, or other means.
