1 Scope for Application
The Rules is applicable to engines of motocycles which are driven on the highway and urban roads in China.
The adjustment of application scope caused by factors such as laws & regulations, relevant product standards, technology and industrial policys shall be subject to the Announcement issued by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the Republic of China (CNCA).
The exemption from certification application caused by research, testing or other specific causes shall comply with "Management Provisions on Compulsory Products Certification" and the relevant requirements of CNCA.
2 Terms and Definitions
Implementation rule CNCA-02C-024: motorcycle combustor defined in 2014.
3 Certification Standards
Certification standards for the Rules are detailed in Annex I "Type Test Items and Reference Standards".
The above standards shall be the latest edition issued by the administrative department of national standardization in principle. Where other applicable standards or service standard editions are needed, the announcement applicable to the requirements of relevant standards and issued by CNCA shall be observed.
4 Certification Mode
Basic certification mode is under the premise of integrity and self-discipline, effective management and stable production and on the basis of the inherent safety risk characteristics of products and production process universally adopted by manufacturers.
