1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for explosion prevention measures, and maintenance, repair, and testing and verification of the dedusting system used in dust explosion hazardous area.
This standard is applicable to the design, manufacturing, installation, acceptance, application and maintenance of the dedusting system used in dust explosion hazardous area.
This standard is not applicable to the dedusting system used in production sites of chemical industry, mining, tunnel, fireworks and crackers and industrial explosive materials.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
dust
a kind of small solid particles, which may deposit in the air due to deadweight, or also may suspend in the air for a certain period
3.2
combustible dust
dust that may burn or flamelessly burn in the air and may form explosive mixture with air at the atmospheric pressure and normal temperature
3.3
dust explosion hazardous area
area where combustible dust, combustion-supporting gas and ignition sources exist
3.4
dedusting system
the device for collection of solid particles in gas-solid two-phase flow, consisting of dust hood or cabinet, duct, fan, deduster and control device
