3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in YD/T 2152-2010 and the following apply.
3.1
type single LC optical-electric hybrid connector
LC connector of insertion and removal type composed of a single-core plug and an adapter, which has both optical and electric connection characteristics and is intended to transmit signals and remotely supply centralized power to low-power (≤100W) terminal devices such as WLAN devices and cameras
3.2
reference plug
precision manufactured or selected plug for measurement purposes
3.3
reference adapter
precision manufactured or selected adapter for measurement purposes
3.4
mating face dimensions
dimensions of a part for determining plug/receptacle fit between a set of optical-electric hybrid connector components
[Source: YD/T 4305.1-2023, 3.3]
3.5
concentricity error
distance between the optical fiber mandrel and the ferrule axis
[Source: YD/T 1272.1-2018, 3.4]
3.6
angular alignment error
angular offset between the excitation beam axis and the ferrule axis
[Source: YD/T 1272.1-2018, 3.5]
3.7
ultra physical contact (UPC)
contact with the front endface of the pin polished to a spherical shape, and the fiber endface subject to required geometric dimensions, so as to ensure that the physical endface of the fiber can fully contact when the endfaces of the two connectors are butted, and thus to eliminate the influence of Fresnel reflection from the fiber endface on the system and obtain a return loss greater than 50 dB

3.8
angled physical contact (APC)
contact with the front endface of the pin polished to an angled (8°) spherical shape, and the fiber endface subject to required geometric dimensions, so as to ensure that the physical endface of the fiber can fully contact when the endfaces of the two connectors are butted, and thus to eliminate the influence of Fresnel reflection from the fiber endface on the system and obtain a return loss greater than 60 dB
