1 Scope
This document specifies the operating conditions, system composition, structural requirements, functional requirements, performance requirements, safety requirements, interface requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and accompanying documents, as well as packaging, transportation and storage for urban rail transit platform screen door systems.
This document is applicable to the design, manufacturing, testing and acceptance of urban rail transit platform screen door systems.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Platform Screen Door (PSD)
A continuous barrier installed at the platform edge, separating the passenger waiting area from the track area, corresponding to the train passenger compartment side doors, and capable of multi-level control for opening and closing sliding doors.
Note: According to structural forms, it is divided into full-height platform screen doors and half-height platform screen doors. Full-height platform screen doors include enclosed and non-enclosed structural forms.

3.2 Automatic Sliding Door (ASD)
A door within the platform screen door area, corresponding in position and number to the train passenger compartment side doors, that can be opened or closed.

3.3 Emergency Escape Door (EED)
A door provided for evacuation when the train passenger compartment side doors and sliding doors are not aligned.

3.4 Fixed Door (FIX)
An unopenable barrier installed within the platform screen door area.
3.5 Platform End Door (PED)
A door installed at both ends of the platform screen door for access to/from the track area.

3.6 Cab Access Door (CAD)
A door installed within the platform screen door area, corresponding to the train driver’s cab side door, for the driver to access/exit the platform.
3.7 Door Mechanism
The drive mechanism for opening and closing sliding doors.

3.8 Door Control Unit (DCU)
A local control device for the door mechanism.

3.9 Locking Device
A device for locking sliding doors, emergency doors, platform end doors, and cab access doors.
3.10 Unlocking Device
A device used to manually release the locking device from the platform side with a special key or from the track side.
3.11 Platform Screen Doors Local Control Panel (PSL)
A local control device for operating the platform screen doors on one side of the platform.

3.12 Platform Screen Doors Central Interface Panel (PSC)
A control center for the platform screen doors at a station, consisting of logic control units, monitoring units and their interfaces.

3.13 Platform Electrical Door Controller (PEDC)
A controller installed in the PSC that provides multi-level priority control for the sliding doors on one side of the platform, and collects and monitors the status of the corresponding platform screen door equipment.
3.14 Local Control Box (LCB)
A local control device for operating a single sliding door.
3.15 Integrated Backup Panel (IBP)
A device located in the station control room for operating the platform screen doors on each side of the station under emergency conditions by station staff.
3.16 Push Bar Lock
A device for manually opening an emergency door from the track side or manually opening a platform end door from the equipment area.
