1 General provisions
1.0.1 This code is formulated with a view to implementing relevant national principles and policies, unifying technical requirements and realizing safety and serviceability, advanced technology, economic feasibility during the design of blast resistant control building in petrochemical industry.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the blast resistant design of the building, structure, ventilation and air conditioning sectors of the new petrochemical control room with blast resistant requirements.
1.0.3 Design of blast resistant control building in petrochemical industry shall not only meet the requirements stipulated in this code, but also comply with those in the relevant current national standards.
2 Terms and symbols
2.1 Terms
2.1.1 blast resistant door
special building door that resists blast shock wave from outside the building
2.1.2 blast resistant access door
blast resistant door required for personnel to access the building normally
2.1.3 blast resistant equipment door
blast resistant door required for large-scale equipment to access the building
2.1.4 blast resistant window
special building external window that resists blast shock wave from outside the building
2.1.5 air lock
built-in front chamber equipped on personnel access for preventing the outdoor harmful gas entering into indoor and maintaining indoor positive air pressure
2.1.6 blast resistant valve
special air valve equipped on the opening of blast resistant building that resists blast shock wave from outside the building
2.1.7 shock wave
longitudinal wave with strong discontinuity surface of air parameters formed by blast in air
2.1.8 positive pressure of shock wave
pressure on each surface of shock wave encircled objects in normal direction that is greater than the surrounding atmospheric pressure within the range of shock wave compression zone
2.1.9 dynamic pressure
when the shock wave is spread in the air, gas molecular in shock wave has great kinematic velocity, the similar air pressure generated hereby also has definite directional effect
2.1.10 stagnation pressure
pressure at intersection between extension of position pressure plus dynamic pressure curve for front wall blast load and Y-axis
2.1.11 ductility ratio
ratio of elastic-plastic deformation of structural member to ultimate elastic deformation
