GB 44702-2024 Specification for the limitation of harmful substances found in watch casings contacting directly with skin
1 Scope
This document defines the terms and definitions of limitation of harmful substances found in watch casings contacting directly with skin (hereinafter referred to as "watch casings"), specifies requirements, inspection rules, and marking, and describes corresponding test methods.
This document is applicable to watch casings contacting directly with skin made of metal, ceramic, leather, plastic, rubber, synthetic sapphire, inorganic glass, and fiber composite materials.

4 Requirements
4.1 General requirements
4.1.1 Nickel release
The nickel release limit value for the metal and cermet (including coating) shall be less than 0.5 μg/cm2/week.
4.1.2 Limit of other harmful substances
The watch casings made of leather materials shall meet the requirements of GB 20400, while the limit requirements for harmful substances in the watch casings made of other materials shall meet those specified in Table 1.
