0 Introduction
On the basis of safety risks and certification risks, the Rule is prepared to specify the basic principles and requirements on implementing compulsory certification for low-voltage components and parts.
The Rule is used in association with CNCA general implementation rules like "Implementation Rule on Compulsory Certification - Selection and Determination of Classified Management and Certification Mode for Manufacturers", "Implementation Rule on Compulsory Certification - Utilization of Testing Resources and Other Certification Results of Manufacturers" and "Implementation Rule on Compulsory Certification - General Requirements of Factory Inspection".
The certification body shall, in accordance with the requirements of the general implementation rule and the Rule, prepare certification implementation rules, which shall be implemented in association with general implementation rule and the Rule.
The manufacturer shall ensure that its certified products continuously meet the requirements of certification and applicable standards.
1 Application Scope
The Rule is applicable to low-voltage components and parts whose working voltages are AC 1000V (to which AC 1140V [working voltage] electrical devices may refer) or DC 1500V and below. The following switch controllers and protectors are included.
Low-voltage circuit breaker;
Low-voltage switch, isolator, disconnector and fuse-combination unit;
Low-voltage electromechanical contactor and motor starter;
Electrical element and switching element of control circuit;
AC semiconductor motor controller and starter;
Control and protective switch;
Proximity switch;
Transfer switch;
Equipment circuit-breaker;
Electromechanical contactor for household and similar uses;
Circuit-breaker for overcurrent protection for household and similar installation;
Residual current operated circuit-breaker (with integral overcurrent protection) for household and similar uses;
